Obituary of Clifford Brian Cinamon

Funeral services for Clifford Brian "Cliff" Cinamon, 63, of West Columbia will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 300 Alliance Rd., Lexington, SC 29073. Pastor Stephen Williamson will officiate. Burial, with US Army honors, will follow the service at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Cliff Cinamon woke up in Glory on Wednesday morning, September 13, 2017 at his home. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was a son of the late Charles and Betty Brier Cinamon. Cliff attended Sevierville High School in Tennessee, and was voted "most likely to succeed". He went on to attend North Georgia Vocational College, where he became a certified lab technician. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, where he was once awarded "Post Soldier of the Month". Cliff was an accomplished salesman, licensed contractor and designer (winning 22 awards), licensed real estate agent, licensed auctioneer, certified as an interior decorator and a published author. His hobbies included a passion for learning and collecting books. He started a non-profit organization to help the homeless of the Columbia area, and served on church bus ministry for 20 years. Cliff was a faithful member of Gethsemane Baptist Church of Lexington for the last 10 years. Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley Sawyer Cinamon; sons, Brian Cinamon, Jr. (Holli) of Gaston, Kevin Cinamon of West Columbia; foster parents, Carl and Gail Anderson of Sevierville, TN; and extended family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church "Future Expansion" Fund.
