My first experience with Cliff was in the bus ministry while working together on bus # 9. His love for people was contagious!! Him and Shirley were a tremendous blessing to me and my family!! Praying for the LORD to comfort all of you during this difficult time.

My dearest family. I just want to send you my most sincere and heartfelt condolences in the loss of our precious Cliff. I knew Cliff when I lived at the Church of God Home for Children in Sevierville, TN, as he lived with Bro and Sis Anderson. He would attend church with us and also visit the campus where we lived. He was very close to many of us "home kids" and we considered him our brother. We also attended Sevier Co. High School together, and I always looked up to him as my "big brother". I know he is running the streets of gold today and enjoying his heavenly reward. My thoughts and prayers are with you today and always. God bless you and may He comfort you only as He can..... with the peace that passeth all understanding. I love you all.

So hard still to believe, I know you and the family is still in shock also. Posting a picture and 2 days later he gone from this Earth, but never gone from our hearts. There are not enough words I can say to describe just how important Cliff was to our family. He took care, and loved my oldest sister Shirley it was evident how much he loved and adored her. I admit I nagged him I would have all the crazy memories of him if I didn't ...Cliff always gave an abundance of endless unconditional love to everyone he met. I love you Cliff...those are words I didn't say often enough to him....to me Cliff life can be described best by a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson. It is one of my favorite poems but it describe Cliff life to the T............................. Success....What is success? To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends: To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better; weather by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; That to have succeeded. Cliffs laugh was infectious.

Went to school with Cliff but didn't get to know him till we were in a play together in our junior year. Very nice person. Saw him when he came for a reunion. Looks like he had a wonderful family and life. I'm so happy he did and so sorry for the family in the loss. Karen Ogle Whitlock

He was like my little brother. Because his parents separated, my mother took care of him and raised him for as long as she could. Somehow, we lost touch with each other until recently. I spoke to him on the phone and i can't believe he's gone. Shocking, just plain shocking.
