Audrey, I was so shocked to learn of Kevin's passing. What fond memories I have from the years he helped me through some difficult times with such poise and compassion.
I was thinking today of the Valentine luncheons and Christmas dinners we all had together and what fun we all had.
None of this could have happened without the wonderful wife you were to him, and also to Joel and Kristen, and of course baby Landon his little eyeball.
Keeping you and the children in my prayers and hope to see you soon

Audrey, Joel, Kristin,
I am so sorry to learn of Kevin's passing. I pretty much lost touch once I left Radio and went on to teaching. I remember with gratitude Audrey and Kevin giving up an HP Computer because mine had "fried" in a lighning strike. I always enjoyed interacting with Kevin at WVOC in the days I worked there with Gary and Christopher.
The loss on THIS side of eternity is harsh, and there will be times when the empty spot will be extra tough. Many of us have learned so much from Kevin and from your giving family. Thank you for sharing Kevin with us by means of radio and TV, and to those of us who were privileged to be in his shadow on a regular basis.
Great will be the joyful reunion in the place where there are no tears, because Jesus wiped them away. Kevin, as much as he loves each of you, would not want to return, now that he has tasted of the incomparable joy of being with his Savior and Lord.
Prayers for each of you in the days and weeks ahead.
God bless you,
Mark Lowell

To Audrey, Joel and Kristin and Skipper Family,
I am shocked and greatly saddened by the terrible news. My heart goes out to you and your family and friends.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin at an LPL Financial conference over 6 years ago and we developed a professional and personal friendship that has lasted to this day. We talked often about our business and college football. Several years ago I did a joint radio program with Kevin on a local Cleveland station and wrote a review and comments on his retirement book.
Kevin was a tireless advocate of personal finance and his long standing radio show was a testament to his accessible and savvy financial advice to many, many clients. He was a devoted family man, financial adviser and to me a devoted friend. I will miss our conversations and I will miss "The Skipper"
With sincerest sympathy and friendship,

Dear Audrey, Kristin, and Joel,
SHOCK, when we found out about Kevin's passing on Keven Cohen's Facebook page, just total shock. We cannot even try to understand what you are going through, but want you to know our loving thoughts and prayers are racing towards you. Shortly after we moved to Chapin, we met Kevin at a cookout at Jerry Fowler's office—that was 13 years ago and we immediately took a liking to Kevin. Kevin soon became more than our Financial Advisor, he became a friend, a person we could have a stimulating and educating conversation or a debate with. He was always cheerful, caring, and full of good sound advice. We will miss his impromptu visits by boat, his smiling face - we will just miss him so very much. We will cherish the memories of knowing Kevin, and we know all the wonderful memories you have will help you get through your untimely loss.
With all our love,
Judy and Michael Kletter.

I would like to express my gratitude for the privilege of having known Dr. Skipper. I became acquainted with Kevin through his "70th Anniversary of D-Day" project when I heard him speak on WVOC. He accepted my offer to present a "WWII 82d Airborne Division" show to school teachers from Lexington County given at the Flight Deck Restaurant. His ardent patriotism was evident to me as well as his passion in remembering our Military and it's Veterans. Although it was a short period that I knew him I will never forget him. I will celebrate that a man such as him graced us with his presence, faith and belief in country.
God Bless,

Dear Audrey and family; Good Hope Baptist Church remembers your time with us and appreciates the man Kevin became. I knew both of you from school and our church had an opportunity to learn you as well. And, of course, Aunt Irene Hardee adored your family. Mama and I would always remind her that Good Hope had him first! I know his passing is such a shock. We're just praying for you and your family in the time ahead until we join him. May God hold you close as you honor Kevin and Him during this sad time. We love you.

Dr. Kevin Skipper was one of the finest men I've had the pleasure to know. He combined keen intellect and judgment with a genuinely caring heart. Meetings with him, and even telephone conversations, were highlights. Kevin maintained a frightfully busy schedule that included personal counseling, radio and television appearances, writing, and even fishing from time to time. Yet he never was too busy to give his time and full attention to those of us in need. What a loss! Our thoughts are with Audrey and the family he loved so much during this wrenching time.

I am so sorry to hear about Kevin. I still can't believe it! I will miss him! He was a great mentor, teacher and friend to me over the past 3 years! He always wanted the best for me and was very generous with his time and sharing of his wealth of knowledge in business and life. I am thankful to have been a part of his life and your Discipline Financial family! He truly loved working and helping others. He was the best financial public speaker I've ever heard. He also loved you guys so much! Whenever we were on a road trip to a seminar or chatting in the NE he was always talking about how lucky he was to have such a great family! You just knew his family meant the world to him. I have been thinking and praying for you all.

Dear Audrey, Joel & Kristin,
My words can not fill the emptiness of losing an awesome loving peron like Kevin. Though I never met him in person I feel I knew him. He freely shared his life and sincerely cared about making a difference in the lives of generations before and after his own. I am grateful for the tremendous contribution he made to many families within our community. Though the loss is horrifically painful, may you find comfort in the memories that you made together. He LIVED a life filled with sincere love and compassion for his family, friends and fellow citizens. The legacy he left is one you can proudly stand on. You will remain in our prayers, especially on Thanksgiving Day.
