Obituary of Kay Sue Ella Livingston

A funeral service for Kay Sue Ella Livingston, 69, of West Columbia, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Pastor Mark Bredholt will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Woodridge Funeral Home. Kay was born January 14, 1945 in Cayce; she was a daughter of the late Marion Otis and Sadie Scarborough Keadle. Kay Sue Ella was the beloved wife of 37 years to William "Bill" Livingston, Jr., and was known as "Aunt Sister" to her many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. In addition to her husband, Kay is survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her sister Muriel Kathleen Keadle Martin, and a brother, Richard Lowell Keadle. Kay Sue Ella enjoyed genealogy, and was her family's historian. She used her genealogical knowledge to re-kindle relationships with her cousins, especially Mary Beth Poston, Bo Dickerson and Tom Dickerson. Kay had retired from Tapp's Department Store, where she had managed a very successful career as an interior designer. She and her husband Bill also enjoyed regional travel. Kay fought a very brave battle against cancer; she maintained a positive and graceful spirit in the face of adversity. Her family would like to thank the staff of South Carolina Oncology Associates, Tri-County Hospice and NHC for their loving care and kindness.
