Thank you Bill, for making it possible for me to meet with Kay and review family connections/photos/stories with her and other cousins on those delightful afternoons this fall in Bishopville and in your beautiful Lexington home. I treasure the experience of getting better acquainted with Kay and others of the Uncle Sanford Scarborough branch from North; I have never met a more genuine nor loving person than she, and your devotion to each other was obvious. My prayers are with you, Jo Anne, Mary Beth and others whose loss must feel so great, having known her so much better. Tom Dickinson

You were always Aunt Kay to us! I am so blessed that you were such a huge part of my life. I remember sleepovers at your house. You would let me wear your jewelry and wear your poodle skirts. You taught me just about everything I know about Elvis too. I'm so glad that you married Uncle Billy because in the process, you became such an important person in our family. I can't remember a single Christmas or Thanksgiving (or any holiday for that matter) that you weren't at Granny's house with us laughing, cutting up, talking and always over a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. We also have so many fond memories of your sweet Mom spending time with us during the holidays as well. Your deviled eggs and banana pudding were always a favorite at every family dinner. How can we forget all of the trips to the mountains or to the beach with the entire family?! Those were always fun and memorable. You were *never* just someone who married into the family but loved as one of our own and you treated all of us the same way. I'm so thankful that I was able to see you this summer at the family cookout. You had so much fun and said that you wanted more family get togethers like the old days. I love you and will miss our great conversations and your quirkiness. It always made me smile. We will all miss you but are happy that you are no longer suffering and are able to be up in Heaven with everyone that you've missed.
I love you Aunt Kay and will keep you in my heart forever.
