Linda was a caregiver during the last part of her life and now she is being taken care of by the best caregivers in the Universe...God & his team of angels!

I am so sad The Lord needed my precious Aunt Linda in heaven so soon. He must have wanted to let soar before any more suffering. I will always cherish the sweet kind heart she constantly showed to all around. I learned from her always giving of herself and pray she knows how she touched people. She sacrificed so much her entire life... She can rest now and wait on us to join her. I also want to express my deep sorrow now for her children, her grandchildren, My Mother, my Aunt, my Uncle, my sister & my cousins. I know there will be a big hole in everyones hearts. May time heal us all of our great loss. I love you My Aunt Linda & will miss your smiling face.

I picked up Linda's ashes today and will be keeping them with me until Sunday's service. It was raining as I drove home by myself (with "big Sis") riding on the seat next to me in her special urn.
It was raining all the way home and tears were pouring down my cheeks. How ironic. Linda never liked cloudy, rainy days. But I can take comfort knowing that it is sunny where she has gone.
PRAY FOR A SUNNY DAY ON SUNDAY FOR HER MEMORIAL SERVICE.

Linda and I were the first of 5 children raised by our parents Julian and Mae Blake. We were born in the 40's but grew up in the 50's and 60's. For a while, we only had each other and grew close. We lived under the same roof for 20 years and shared many memories. We had the same friends, ate every thing we wanted and did not gain an ounce, we ran bear foot and only wore shoes when we were drug to church. I often remember the delivery van our dad would drive which he used to take us to church and revival tent meetings.

Linda was my sister, my friend and my confidante. I will always cherish the time I had with her. Especially the last 6 years since she moved to the Columbia. We had become even more close as we shared almost daily phone calls and weekly visits. I miss her so!
