Obituary of J. Marilyn Cliett

Jean Marilyn Cliett was born August 19, 1948, in Douglas, Georgia to Thomas Calvin Cliett Sr. and Illa Jean Cliett (Tyre). She passed away January 19, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia at age 75.

She was a Butler High School graduate and Augusta College Alum. She spent her work life as an accountant. Marilyn was an avid outdoors person spending her leisure time camping, hunting, and fishing. She also loved making crafts, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by both of her parents. 

She will be loved, honored, and missed by her surviving siblings Brenda Threatt of North Augusta, SC; Thomas (Kathrine) Cliett of Murrita, CA; and Marion “Mickey” Cliett of Aiken, SC; Her daughters Cynthia Slagle of Weirsdale, Florida; Sarah (Jeff) Winn of Aiken, SC; Grandsons; Thomas (Laci) Clavette, Steven (Brandi) Clavette, Calvin Winn, Jason Winn; and 8 great-grandchildren. Her friends and family will always remember her with love and gratitude.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday January 23, 2024, at Woodridge Memorial Park & Funeral Home at 2pm. The family will gather to receive friends at 1pm. All services will be held at Woodridge Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC 29072.
