Robert James “Bob” Starr – Services for Robert J. “Bob” Starr, 80, of Lexington, will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Bob Starr passed away September 3, 2023. Born in Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of the late Jimmy and Dorothy Starr. Bob was an Army veteran, and served in the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic. He was strong-willed, stubborn with a huge heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a “Mr. Fix-it” and our go-to guy. Bob loved coaching softball, and “Coach Bob” will be fondly remembered for his many years of tireless devotion to all his “girls”.

He truly loved his family and was the best grandpa in the whole world. It was his greatest life accomplishment. He will be missed tremendously by all who loved and knew him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, JoAnn Starr; daughters, Natalie Magid (Matt) of DeBary, FL, Kimberly Paniccia (Mike) of Chapin, SC; grandchildren, Giovanni, Caiden, Taylor and Jason; sister, Bonnie Starr and her family. Bob is also survived by his loving dog, Scruffy. Bob was predeceased by his parents.
