Obituary of Alton L. Sellers

Alton L. “Al” Sellers – Lexington – Graveside funeral services with US Air Force honors for Alton L. Sellers, 86, of Lexington, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Woodridge Memorial Park of Lexington, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Pastor Dan Gardner will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, July 31, 2023, at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington.

Al Sellers passed away July 23, 2023. Born in Chester County, SC, he was a son of the late Jesse Willard Sellers and Mary Evelyn Edwards Addy. Al was a 1955 graduate of Olympia High School in Columbia, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in Industrial Materials Management for many years prior to his retirement. Al was a loving son, husband, uncle and father who will be missed by all who knew him.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy Sellers; son, Michael F. Sellers (Anna) of Irmo; niece, Paulette Owings (Terry) of Waterloo, SC; nephew, Carl Chavis, Jr. of Simpsonville, SC; niece, Tracy Kelemen of Fountain Inn, SC, and a large and loving extended family. Al is also survived by his loving dog, Tanner. In addition to his parents, Al was predeceased by his sister, Gloria Jean Chavis.
