Obituary of Carolyn H. Evans

Mrs. Carolyn Eleise Hoeper Evans, age 77, of Lexington, SC, passed away on February 17, 2023.  Carolyn was born to Stewart Chester Hoeper and Elise Gallau Hoeper on November 6, 1945 in Washington, D.C.  She graduated from Florida State University in 1967 with a degree in home economics education.  Carolyn married William (Bill) Addison Evans on April 4, 1970.

 

She spent most of her time as a homemaker, but enjoyed volunteering at Lexington Medical Center, and delighted in opportunities to take care of her grandsons.  Carolyn spent many days working on the family’s Berry Hill Farm checking out customers during blueberry season.  She loved her four-legged children, Patches and Scooter.

 

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Bill Evans, and two sons:  Paul Evans (Sherri) of Chapin, SC and Matt Evans (Tricia) of Lexington, SC and three grandsons:  David, Caleb, and Samuel.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Stewart Hoeper and Stanley Fredrick Hoeper.
