Obituary of Dennis William Maybury

 Funeral services for Dennis William Maybury, 76, of Columbia, SC will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.

Dennis Maybury passed away May 30, 2022. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Francis William Maybury and Doris Emma Leavy Maybury. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him. A native of New York, Dennis and his family moved to New Jersey, and then his career took him to South Carolina. He retired from Prysmian Group after a 50 year career. Dennis enjoyed taking walks, playing games of chess or canasta. He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes. His family and friends knew him for his famous phrase “…Question?”

Dennis is survived by two daughters, Vicki Thornton (Rob) and Kim Lawrence (Brian); grandson, Derek Jon Maybury; brother, Kevin Clark Maybury (Kathy), and a large and loving extended family. In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Amy Pace Maybury; brother, Gary Robert Maybury.
