Obituary of Cory James Pierce

OBITUARY – Cory James “C.J.” Pierce – West Columbia – Services for Cory James Pierce, 49, of West Columbia, will be private. Cory Pierce passed away at his residence February 3, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was a son of Richard Baxter Pierce and Susan Elyse Hatch.

Cory "C.J." Pierce was an intelligent man with a B.A. from Ball State University. He was working on a novel, and loved to relax with some online gaming. As a former military man (U.S. Army) and martial arts enthusiast, C.J. had a love of firearms and blades of all kinds. C.J. was also a proponent of self-defense and taught martial arts classes off and on during his life. C.J. was very loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. 

He is survived by his mother, Sue Hatch; his father, Richard Pierce; his sister, Heidi DeBrincat and several nieces, nephews & their children. C.J. was preceded in death by his older brothers, Todd & Troy Affolder.
