
Obituary of Quincy C. Bouknight, Jr.
OBITUARY – Quincy C. “Sonny” Bouknight, Jr. – Leesville – A graveside memorial service for Quincy C. “Sonny” Bouknight, Jr., 80, of Leesville, will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Pastor Ken Prill will officiate.
Quincy Bouknight passed away February 13, 2022. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Quincy Carson Bouknight, Sr. and Elizabeth Alice Kimball Bouknight. Quincy was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he was a member of the Lake Murray Senior’s Bass Club and the Newberry Roadrunner's Travel Club. In his later years, he became a dedicated follower of the stock market. He retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas after 32 years of service. He was a former member of Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church in Columbia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.
Quincy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rebecca D. Bouknight; sons, Glenn Bouknight (Kay) of Columbia, Gary Bouknight of Lexington, Guy Bouknight (Susan) of Lexington, Gene Bouknight (fiancée Robin Hall) of Batesburg; grandson, Guy “Buddy” Bouknight, Jr. of Lexington, step-granddaughters, Alex Powell, Kimberly Hare (Jacob), Kayla Caulder; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Elaine Bouknight; brother, Johnny Bouknight (Karen) of Lexington; sister, Lynn Homan (Ron) of Irmo; three aunts and one uncle; nephews, Zach and Wesley Homan; nieces, Sheryl Bouknight, Rachel Zoss (Jeremy) and a large and loving extended family. In addition to his parents, Quincy was predeceased by his brother, Larry Bouknight; daughter-in-law, Brenda Bouknight.
The family requests no flowers, please. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made (in Quincy’s name) to the charity of one’s choice.
