Obituary of Robert Martin Wesel

OBITUARY – Robert Martin “Bob” Wesel – Lexington – Services for Robert Martin “Bob” Wesel, 86, of Lexington, formerly of Allenspark, Colorado, will be held at a later date. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bob Wesel passed away on January 16, 2022. Born in Stony Point, NY, he was a son of the late William Martin Wesel and Florence May Phillips Wesel. Bob served his country in the US Army for many years, and was the owner of a family-owned business, Pine Grove Cabins in Allenspark, CO. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him. Bob loved to sing, and was a member of 2 different barber shop quartets and choruses.  

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, June A. Wesel; daughter, Kristina Morgan (Michael) of Lexington; sons, Martin Wesel (Michelle) of Winchester, CA, Bryan Wesel (Elaina) of Forney, TX, daughter, Beth Laughlin (James) of Pahoa, HI; grandchildren, Sierra Beresky (Ben), Acadia, Micah and Kaylin Morgan, Megan, Marina and Mackenzie Wesel, Colby and Jadin Wesel, Sara Laughlin; sisters, Carol Bigio, Mary DelVento (Enzo). Bob was predeceased by his parents.

The family would like to thank all of Bob’s caregivers for their loving and attentive care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, #640, Columbia, SC 29210, for research in to a cure for this terrible disease.
