Obituary of Kristin Ailene Moyer

OBITUARY – Kristin Ailene Moyer – West Columbia – A Celebration of Life service for Kristin A. Moyer, 35, of West Columbia, will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Kristin’s burial will be private. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service in the Mausoleum Chapel. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kristin Moyer passed away peacefully in her home on November 26, 2021. Born in West Columbia on October 31, 1986, she was a daughter of Ronald L. Moyer, Jr. and Susan H. Roof. Kristin attended Brookland-Cayce High School, and joined the USAF Reserves at McEntire Air National Guard Base.  Kristin loved the water and enjoyed spending her time on Lake Murray with her family.  The most important thing to her was being a great mother to her son and spending as much time with him as she could.  A social butterfly, she lit up every room she entered and she never met a stranger.  She had a huge heart and loved her family and friends dearly.

Kristin is survived by her son, Vince Harrison Gleaton and his father, Chris Gleaton of Lexington, SC; step-father, Chris Roof; fiance, Paul Roof of West Columbia, SC; sisters, Joy Moyer Wilson (Aaron) of Lexington, SC, MacKenzie Moyer Ewing (Andrew) of Lynchburg, VA; brother, Garrett Roof (Dany) of Dallas, TX; aunt, Joy Harrison Wingard (Ronnie) of Gilbert, SC; uncle, Frankie Harrison (Cathy) of Lexington, SC; aunt, Jill Moyer Marsh (Terry) of Lynchburg, VA; uncle, Mark Moyer (Allison) of Evington, VA, and a large and loving extended family. Kristin was predeceased by her grandparents, Ervin and Iva Dean Harrison and Ronald and Kay Moyer.

The family would like to state that although we are all still in shock with the unexpected passing of Kristin, we couldn’t be more thankful for all of the truly genuine warmth, caring and concern from everyone.  May God bless you all!
