Obituary of J Willis Stabler

J Willis “JW” Stabler, age 50, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born in Prosperity, SC and raised in Lexington, SC. He was the son of the late Willis William Stabler and the late Renate Ursula Stabler. He graduated from Spartanburg Technical College.  JW was a Marketing Equipment Supervisor at Pepsi Beverages Company.  Prior to joining the Pepsi family in 2004, he worked as an auto mechanic at Ben Satcher Ford for 16 years.

JW is survived by his wife, Celeste Connell Stabler; daughters, Madalyn Anne Stabler and Abigail Jaye Stabler; brother, Steven U. Stabler (Peggy) of Stanfield, NC; sister, Nicole Stabler Bickley (Sease) of Lexington, SC; parents-in-law, Terry and Judy Connell of Greenville, SC; sister-in-law, Turea Connell Dawson of Simpsonville, SC; three nephews and three nieces. He was pre-deceased by a brother-in-law Terry “Beau” Connell, Jr. JW was a loving husband, father, and friend. Everyone who knew him could attest to his kind and hard-working nature. He was always willing to do anything for his family or help out a friend in need. He enjoyed spending time on the lake, vacationing at the beach, and going hunting and fishing with friends. JW loved his wife and daughters fiercely with his whole heart and was so proud of his girls’ accomplishments.

The family will receive friends at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, SC on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in the student room from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Please park in the parking lot off of Foxglen Road and enter the church through the doors under the breezeway.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastors Trevor Miller and Emma Murphy on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
