Obituary of Thomas C. Peel, Sr.

PELION - First Sergeant Thomas C. Peel Sr., US Army (Retired), age 94, passed away on September 7, 2021, after falling from a ladder on August 27th trying to take down a tree.

Thomas was drafted into the US Army in 1945, and spent 30 years in military service. He had 84 parachute jumps and his many assignments included the Special Forces and two combat tours in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. Thomas loved the Army, and always said it was the best thing that ever happened to him.

After his Army career, he worked at Tamper (now Harsco Rail), a metal machine shop and Naturchem. Thomas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris; his son, Mike; and his grandsons, Daniel and David. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Ken and Tom Jr. He was a very unforgettable and special person.
