Obituary of Frances A. Botham

Frances A. Botham passed away on May 29, 2011. She was born in Buffalo, New York on October 14, 1945. Fran was the daughter of Peggy King. A native of Buffalo, New York, Fran relocated to West Columbia in 1995. She worked for the City of West Columbia and dedicated much of her time to local charities. Fran is survived by her sister, Shirley L. Steenbergen and four children: Kevin Ushman and wife Tina of Cayce, Charles Ushman and wife Lucy of Charleston, David Ushman and wife Amanda of New Berlin, IL, Tracey Abel and husband Robert of Buffalo, NY; eleven grandchildren and one great grandson, as well as nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine M. Bennett. Frances was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. She was recognized for many achievements for her dedicated services to the City of West Columbia. A Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the West Columbia Community Center, 754 "B" Avenue West Columbia, SC 29169.
