Obituary of Horst R. Rosenthal

Horst R. Rosenthal of 1002 Roselle Dr. Columbia, SC 29210 was born Jan. 6, 1935 in Berlin Germany and passed away on November 2, 2011. He was the youngest of five boys. He and his parents survived a Nazi concentration camp and were freed in 1945 at the end of World War II. Less than 1% of the children in the camp survived. While he was stationed at Ft. Jackson S.C. in the army he met his wife Ruth Fetner and they were married June 18, 1960. They had seven daughters including identical twins. He is survived by his wife, daughters-Susan Hudson, Sheri White, Dawn Beauparlant, Denise Cochran, Kelly Rosenthal, Kay Johnson and Robin Rosenthal. Horst is also survived by several son-in-laws, five grandsons, three granddaughters and one great granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 4pm Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 7445 Broad River Rd. Irmo, SC 29063. He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
