Obituary of William Gordon White

William G. White, 65, went to be with our Lord on Monday, August 13, 2012. Born in the Borough of Manhattan, New York City, he was the son of the late Frederick White and Thelma Page White. After graduating from Emerson High School in Union City, NJ, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1965. He served in Vietnam from 1967-68 as a Military Policemen stationed in Phu Cat. After discharge from the Air Force he worked for Auburn Spark Plug Company in Auburn, NY as a purchasing manager before relocation to New Jersey. Upon retirement, he moved to Irmo, SC. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ann Marie Moore White; son William A. White and his wife Tara of Irmo, SC; sister Thelma A. Weigand and her husband William of Auburn, NY; brothers Donald White and his wife Amy of Redding, CA and Alan White and his wife Raenette of Ocala, FL; brother-in-law Anthony ?Louie? Moore of Mt. Pleasant, SC and four nieces and three nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 3 P.M. in the Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home Mausoleum Chapel 138 Corley Mill Road Lexington. Burial will take place immediately following the service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The family would like to thank the staff at Regency Hospice and the staff and volunteers at Agape Senior Hospice House for the loving care they provided William in his final days and for the kindness and solace they provided his family. Thanks also to our neighbors and friends whose care and prayers provided so much solace during this time.
