Obituary of JD Geiger

JD Geiger, 78, of Fort Lawn, SC passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Palmetto Health Richland surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 25, 1933 in Jefferson County, SC. JD was a member of Victory Worship Center in Lancaster, SC. He proudly served his county in the Army during WWII. Besides his parents, JD is predeceased by two sons, Steven Yearwood and Tommy Yearwood Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years Mary Y. Geiger of Fort Lawn; daughters Zana Putnam of Great Falls, Lorie Lucas of Great Falls and Judy Yearwood of Lexington, SC; sisters Nanny Hammond of Lancaster, SC and Thelma Melton of Jefferson, SC and brother Buck Geiger of Jefferson, SC. JD is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
