Obituary of Frank R Brooks

Frank R. Brooks, 68, of Lexington was called home to the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2012. Mr. Brooks passed away peacefully at the Dorn VA Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born January 8, 1943 in Homer, New York. Frank proudly served his county in the Army during Vietnam. Along with a Purple Heart, Frank received numerous awards and decorations during his military service. ?Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing? Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Frank always had a smile on his face and could brighten anyone?s day. He lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents, Frank is predeceased by his brother Clifford Brooks. Survivors include his loving wife Audrey Brooks; daughters Kaitlyin, Kathleen and Jammie; brother Samuel Brooks of New York; sister Willeen Carter of Florida; brother-in-laws Karl, Randy and Ricky; a very special mother-in-law Joann R. Crout and very special sister-in-law Karen for all the love and care these ladies gave Frank during his illness. Frank is also survived by his three grandchildren. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 2-5 P.M. at the home of Frank and Audrey Brooks. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and gratitude to all the staff at the Dorn VA Hospital for their love and support during this difficult time and for the care that was given.
