Obituary of Wyman S. Howell

GASTON: Funeral service for Wyman S. Howell, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Davis. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden St., Columbia, SC 29201. Mr. Howell passed away Thursday, January 03, 2013. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Norman Hezikiah Howell and Laura Harwell Howell. He was a U.S. Navy Retiree, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Howell was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was devoted to his family. Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Jacqueline C. Howell of Gaston; daughters, Debra H. Bigbee of Gaston, Catherine H. Kelly of Pelion and Sandra H. Partyka of Supply, NC; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his son, Roger K. Howell.
