Obituary of Elsie May Churchill

Memorial services for Elsie May Churchill, 84 of Lexington will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 22, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Lexington, 415 Barr Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. Officiating will be Reverend Ralph Schneck. Reception will follow at the church. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Senior Ministry at First Baptist Church of Lexington, 415 Barr Road Lexington SC 29072. Mrs. Churchill, widow of Dale Franklin Churchill, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013. She was born on September 18, 1928 in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Dana Levi Gates and Ruth Lydia Critten-Gates and sister of the late Marion Henderson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington where she helped with the Young at Heart Senior Ministry. She was a published poet and loved animals, babies and blue skies. Family Members are: Son Paul David Churchill married to Patricia Annette Parsons-Churchill, Grandsons Robert Levi Churchill, Kevin Clayton Parsons and predeceased Shelby Steven Parsons, Great Grandsons Skylar Levi Churchill and Justin Clayton Parsons, Great-Granddaughter Brittany Danielle Parsons; Daughter Barbara Dianne Conley married to Judge Thomas Drayton Conley III, Grandson Judge Thomas Drayton Conley IV, married to Marny Williamson-Conley; Daughter Debra Sue Hoverman, married to Richard Walter Hoverman; Nephew Dennis Henderson.
