Obituary of Gracie Evelyn Carter

Lexington—Gracie Evelyn Carter passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Gracie was born on December 6, 2017. She was loved so well and touched many people's lives. She showed us that there is still good in this world and to never give up hope. Most people only dream of Angels…we held one in our arms. She was only here for a moment but left us with a lifetime of love. The family will receive friends from 3pm until 4pm followed by a memorial service on Sunday, January 7th, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington SC 29073. She is survived by her parents, Bret and Becky Carter of Lexington; grandparents, Phil and Debra Carter of Cayce, Cindy and Wheeler Jones of York; great- grandmother, Betty Carter of Lexington; aunts and uncles, Jeremy Carter and Casey Gilbert of Lexington, Michael and Jenny Hill of York, Wes and Michelle Ingram of Inman; cousins, Walker, Chandler, and Kinley Ingram of Inman, Sadie and Maggie Hill of York. She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, C.M. "Fatman" Carter of Cayce, Claude and Jean Spurlock of Cayce, William and Florence Jones of Richmond, VA, Pete and June Tucker of Crewe, VA. The family would like to thank the staff at Lexington Medical Center along with the staff at the Palmetto Health Richland NICU for the care of Gracie.
