Obituary of Ruby Mae Sneed

Lexington- Ruby Mae Sneed, 77, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Ruby Mae was the daughter of the late Oliver and Nannie Mae Brewer. She was born on December 12, 1939, in Thomasville, NC. Mrs. Sneed was a long-time nurse's aide and caregiver that took great pride and joy in serving others. She enjoyed flowers and gardening and being outside, as long as it wasn't too hot. Family was most important, as she always loved being around her children and grands and her beloved dog, "Buttons". Mrs. Sneed is survived by her children; Terry (Paula) Sneed, Larry (Holly) Sneed and Lula (Jeff) Ulmer; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and her brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, John Henry Sneed Jr.; a daughter, Evelyn Clement and a great-grandson, Thomas Hoefer. The family will gather for a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Flowers may be sent to the "Sissy" Ulmer's home. Mrs. Ruby Mae Sneed will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
