Obituary of David Ray Kesling

David Ray Kesling, 81, of Irmo, SC, formerly of Weirton, WVA, passed away on September 17, 2017 at his home. Burial services will be held at a later date in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens of Weirton. Born October 12, 1935, he was a son of the late William "Gran" Kesling and Mahalia "Jen" Fitzgerald Kesling. David graduated from Weir High School, and proudly served in the US Marine Corps for three years. He married Sandra (Kinney) Kesling fifty-seven years ago. He was retired from the Signode Corporation in 1996. He also had worked part-time at the Mid Carolina Golf Club in Prosperity, SC. David was an avid golfer and coached many years in the Weirton Termite Association. David is survived by his loving family; wife, Sandra Kesling; sons, Mark Kesling (Pam) of Weirton, and Scott Kesling of Chapin, SC. He was the proud grandfather of David Kesling of Charlotte, NC, Monica "Niki" Kesling of Columbia, SC and Bryce Kesling of Weirton; sister, Joyce Gaylord (Bob) of Chesterton, IN; brother-in-law, Skip Kinney (Carol) of Burgettstown, PA; nephews and nieces, Rick Kinney (Karen), Brad Kinney, Amy Porter, Jeff Porter (Lydia), Bryant Riddle (Carol); great niece, Christie Kinney and great nephew, Ryan Kinney. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sisters, Ada Jean Kesling and Ruth Hartman.
