Obituary of Betty Weaver Brown

A Celebration of Life service for Betty Weaver Brown, 64, of West Columbia, will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC, 29072. Pastor Sandra M. Price will officiate. Mrs. Brown passed away, Friday, September 1, 2017. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Franklin Wilson Weaver and Harriet Ann Walker. Betty was our true "Warrior Queen"; she is now free of her wheelchair and leg brace. She is happily walking the streets of Heaven with her Lord with no assistance. Betty was a NASCAR fan, especially #3, Dale Earnhardt, Sr. She was a pet lover, and her beloved pets, Coco, Suzie and Garfield crossed the rainbow bridge ahead of her, and await her on the other side. Betty is survived by her loving children; daughter, Katherine Price-McCartney (James) of Columbia; son, Glenn A. Brown, Jr. (Denise) of Pelion; 3 grandchildren, Wesley Price (Amber) of West Columbia, Joshua Price (Victoria) of Virginia Beach, VA, Sarah McCartney of Columbia; 2 great-grandchildren, Aiden and Fisher Price. Betty is also survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her sisters, Gail Weaver and Connie Shaner and a brother, Ricky Weaver. The family would like to thank her best friend and mentor, Pastor Sandra Price, for her love and devotion to Betty's care, and her grandchildren for their loving care of their grandmother. The family would also like to thank the Brown family for their affection and support.
