Obituary of Jessie Robert AKA Davis

Lexington - A memorial service for Jessie Robert Davis III, 58, aka "Lurch", of Lexington will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 at The Rock Family Worship Pentecostal Church. Mr. Davis, who was the son of the late Jessie Robert Davis, Jr. and Mildred Jane Newman, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. He is survived by his sister, Tamara Sturkie; niece, Jeneal Sturkie; nephew, Jessie Devin Sturkie; children Missy, Judy, Wade, Burrell and Becky; several grandchildren and his adopted family, the Jackons, Caroline, Robin, Brittany, T.J., Terry and Ryan. He was predeceased by his brother, Franklin Wallace Davis of Salley, SC. A long-time employee of Carolina Carpets, Lurch loved fishing and wrestling. He never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
