Obituary of Gloria Phyllis Snyder

Gloria Phyllis "Ohmi" Snyder, 82, passed away July 19, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 6, 1935 in Wheeling West Virginia to the late Edward and Ruth (Cunningham ) Snyder . Gloria spent the majority of her life in Wheeling, West Virginia where she raised her only daughter Gretchen and was a school teacher for over 40 years. She loved being in theater and studied opera. She sang at church and for special occasions. She was known throughout the area for her vocal talents. Her greatest passion was the love for her family; especially her grandchildren. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ruth, her brother, Edwin, and two sisters; Hazel and Katherine. Gloria is survived by her only child, Gretchen, her son-in-law Tony and their three children, Gloria, Patric, and Anthony. The family will be holding a celebration of her life at their home on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Gloria loved chocolates.
