Obituary of Kathleen Frances White

Columbia—Kathleen Frances White, 59, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away June 7, 2017 at her home. The daughter of Clinton H. White, Sr. and Mildred C. McClean White, Kathy was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in October 1957. She is survived by her daughter Dawn Stone and husband Ernest Prior; three grandchildren, Breanna, Cayla and Austin Hoffman; a brother, Clinton H. White, Jr.; her late brother Robert's wife Rachel, and niece Lucia White; the Rein family; the Crego family; and her beloved aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Al Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Robert White. Kathy graduated from Milford High School in 1975 and began work at Sikorsky Aircraft assembling instrumental parts for helicopters. Subsequently she moved to South Carolina where she held various positions including Home Health Provider as a Certified Nursing Assistant, shift leader at the Direct Service Station on Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce, and third-shift manager at the Amoco Station on Hwy 1 in West Columbia. She will be remembered as a good friend to her neighbors, a loving mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends for visitation at Thompson Funeral Home at 200 State Street in West Columbia, S.C. from 6 - 8 pm on Friday, June 16, 2017. Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home is assisting the family.
