Obituary of William Aaron Nathaniel Sweat

William Aaron Nathaniel "Billy" Sweat, Jr. of West Columbia, passed away April 19, 2017 at his residence. Born in Madison, FL, he was a son of the late William Aaron Nathaniel Sweat and Frankie Asteen Strickland Sweat. He lived most of his life in Augusta, GA, and graduated from George P. Butler High School in 1970. Billy proudly served his country in the US Army from 1971-1974. Billy lived the last 25 years of his life in West Columbia, where he met, and in 2010, married the love of his life, Connie "Lulu" Cook Sweat.Billy began and was the league operator for the CSRA Pool League in 1983. This league later grew to become the American Pool Players Association (APA) League of the Midlands. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Lulu; daughter, Jeanie Cook, sons, Ricky Cook (Loren), Gary Malkowski; sister, Cathy Sweat Mosteller (Jerry), brother, John Sweat (Gina); grandchildren, Kayla, Brice, Riley and Tyler Cook; numerous nieces, nephews and his many friends, colleagues and players from the APA, all of whom he considered to be his extended family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
