Obituary of Zenaida Quijano Lazaro

Zenaida Quijano Lazaro (10-8-1936 to 7-14-21)

     A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Zenaida Quijano Lazaro, 84, of Columbia, SC, at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, SC, 29223. A reception will be held following the Mass. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Zenaida passed away on July, 14 2021.  She was born in Manila, Philippines, and was a daughter of the late Antonio Quijano and Mercedes Tecson Quijano.

Zenaida is survived by her daughters, Lillian Lazaro Edwards and Lailane Lazaro; son, Lamberto "Bert" Lazaro; granddaughter, Laurel Edwards and grandson, Stephen Edwards. In addition to her parents, Zenaida was predeceased by her husband, Conrado Lazaro; sister, Emily Quijano Valdez and brother, Perpetuo "Pet" Quijano.

Zenaida loved being a Librarian at the University of South Carolina.  Her late husband, Conrado, was in the U.S. Army, so their family lived around the world.  Everyone loved and treasured their friendship with her.
