Obituary of Dora Banks Peake

Dora Banks Peake Lexington- Dora Peake, 71, of Lexington, SC, passed away on Friday, April 7 2017. She was a giving, loving, caring, wonderful wife and nanny. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a loving Christian who loved to teach Sunday School classes to the children at St. David's Lutheran Church for many years. Dora and her husband Tom loved to travel and hunt. Dora spent many hours sitting in her deer stand and enjoying nature. In addition to her husband Tom, she is survived by her son Joe Bass; sister Hazel Peake; grandchildren Jordan Bass, Taylor Bass, James Cole Bass, Lexi Peake, Logan Peake, and Dylan Peake; stepsons Andrew Peake and Brian Peake (Erica). She was preceded in death by her son John Thomas Bass; sisters JoAnn Branham, Eloise Bracey, Ruby Mincey, Sylvia Bundrick; brothers Julian Smith, James Smith and her parents, Joseph Jasper Banks and Francis Smith Dobson Banks. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. David's Lutheran Church, West Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. David's Lutheran Church, West Columbia, SC. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
