Obituary of Camille Hardin Stutts

Camille Hardin Stutts, 84, of Columbia passed away peacefully on April 5, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 22 at 2 p.m. at Westminister Presbyterian Church, 1715 Broad River Road, Columbia SC, 29210. Visitation and a reception will follow the service at the church. Born on February 6, 1933 in Dyas, GA, she was the daughter of Homer Jefferson Hardin and Frances Colley Hardin. She graduated from University of Georgia in 1953 and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was a devoted wife to the late Ted Stutts for 59 years. Camille was an avid bridge and tennis player. She also loved to read and garden. She was a long time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and received the Presbyterian Women Honorary Lifetime Membership Award. Surviving to cherish her memory are three daughters, Cathy (George) Strovinskas of Roswell, GA, Genie (Bob) Panaccione of Houston, TX and Leslie (David) Crocker of Lexington, SC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Camille (Nathan) Lozeron, Kaitlin Panaccione, Chelsea (Lucas) Kaiser, Chandler Crocker, McKenzie Crocker, Forrest Crocker, Alexander Hartley, Chad (Laura) Strovinskas, and Clay (Nicole) Strovinskas, great-grandchildren Carson, Collin, Cayden Grace, Ann Marie, Colton Strovinskas, brother Toombs (Joan) Hardin, and numerous nieces and nephews. Camille was a devoted sister to Ann Hardin Chambless, who was laid to rest Friday March 31, 2017. We would like to acknowledge the unwavering loving care and given from Joan Bell to the Stutts family for over 40 years. We are also grateful for the care Camille received at Carroll Campbell Place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Camille Stutts to Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) and to benefit ministries of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
