Obituary of Donald George Delesandro

Lexington - Donald George Delesandro - A memorial service for Donald G. Delesandro, 85, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 PM, April 7, 2017 at Westside Holiness Church, 527 Augusta Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. Pastor Jewell Jeffcoat will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church. Don Delesandro passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Born in Washington, PA, he was a son of the late George and Florence Lucht Delesandro. He was an avid fisherman, and also enjoyed family gatherings with his large family. Don was also a wonderful cook, and would willingly cook most any dish for a family member or friend who requested one of his delicious dishes, especially spaghetti and meatballs. His many loyal customers in the furniture business followed him from store to store, knowing that he would take good care of them. Don attended Westside Holiness Church in West Columbia. Don is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maridell Delesandro; 13 children; many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Sattell. The family would like to thank the staff of the Coronary Care Unit of Lexington Medical Center for their compassionate care. The family requests no flowers, please.
