Obituary of Ruth A. Ferguson

Ruth A. Ferguson, 80, of Lexington, South Carolina, went to her heavenly home on March 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on November 6, 1936 in Donnellson, Iowa to Helen and John Snedden. She spent most of her early years in Earle, Arkansas where she started her family with the birth of her first born daughter. Her love of sewing lead her to work with the Singer Corporation. After the birth of her second daughter, the family moved to North Little Rock, AR where they lived until moving to Oklahoma City, OK where she found a love for interior design and made their home until 1984. She returned home to Arkansas to be closer to her aging mother. In 2003, Ruth moved to Lexington, SC where she lived out her Golden Years. Ruth is survived by two daughters; Laura Renee Bisby of Lexington and Donna Ferguson Arvay and her husband Paul of Irmo, three granddaughters; Renee Spangenberg of Tulsa, OK, Erica Castillo and her husband Adonis of San Antonio, TX, and Nicole Daadaoui and husband Mohamed of Oklahoma City, OK; three great-grandchildren, Maddie and Alex Castillo and Malik Daadaoui and one sister, Dorothy Allen and her husband Bert of Oxford, MS. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her two brothers; Jackie Snedden and Dickie Snedden and a sister, Joanne Senert. The family will receive friends at Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home of Lexington on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be held at the gazebo overlooking the lake at 11 am on Friday with David Mullins officiating.
