Obituary of Gloria Phyllis VanWey

Gloria Phyllis VanWey, 80, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away December 27, 2016 at National Healthcare West Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on February 15, 1936 in Bronx, New York to the late Charles and Ruth (Gottlieb) Breitman. Gloria had a heart of gold and did not know a stranger. She welcomed all people into her home and assured nobody went hungry. Her caring nature carried thru even into her career. Gloria was in the medical field for over 30 years caring for others. When she was not working, she enjoyed the time spent with her family. Gloria loved her grandchildren and cherished all the times that they could be together. She will be missed by those she loved and those that loved her. Gloria is survived by her sons: Frank Robert VanWey (Jenny) of Jacksonville, FL, Charles D. VanWey (Carla) of Port Richie FL, and David VanWey (Susan) of Little Mountain, SC. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years Frank Robert VanWey, and two brothers. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the family.
