Obituary of Douglas T. Schriener

ELGIN - Douglas T. Schriener - A memorial service for Douglas T. Schriener, 76, of Elgin will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 605 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223. The Rev. William M. "Scotty" Brock will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mr. Schriener passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his residence. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan Alexander Schriener; 2 daughters, Kimberly Palmer (Joe) of Marietta, GA; Wendy Friedman of East Berlin, CT; grandson, Dylan Friedman; sister, Connie Taylor of Dundas, Ontario. The family would like to thank Tina Evans, who was a loving caregiver, and the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their compassionate care.
