Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Mayers passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. Born in Batesburg, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mamie Swygert Shealy. She is survived by her sons, Mark Mayers (Sylvia) and Brian Mayers, both of Gaston; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Jobie Shealy (Lynette) of Batesburg. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard S. Mayers; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
