Barbara Tharpe passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021.

She was born in Red Bank, New Jersey on September 17, 1962 to Burton James and Janet Lorraine Neblo.  She attended and graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce.  She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Randy Tharpe; her son Garrett; her daughter Sarah; two grandchildren - Ariana and Sophie; six sisters, Kathy Wagner, Donna Thorpe (Larry), Gwen Altman, Mary Lou Mitchum (Robert), Nancy Pace (Elliott), Susan Coughlin (Robert); two brothers, Gordon Neblo and Stephen Neblo (Destiny); and three sisters-in-law, Traci Barlow, Debi Neblo (Tommy), and Julie Garza (Kris), as well as many nieces and nephews.

She had a love of camping, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved and cared for many pets over the years always welcoming strays and those in need of a home.  If she couldn’t give them a home, she found them a home.  She enjoyed vacations at the beach and in the mountains.

A family memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
