Obituary of Kathleen Lee Rowen

Kathleen Lee Rowen, 96, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2016. She was born in Hamilton, Massachusetts on July 31, 1920, to the late Frank and Mary O'Brien Conte. Kathleen graduated from Beverly Hospital School of Nursing, in Beverly, Massachusetts and from New England College, receiving a Master's Degree in Education and Human Services. As a Registered Nurse, she worked as a school nurse in New Hampshire, and later as an RN Review Coordinator for a government agency. She is survived by her son, Randall Rowen (Cheryl), of Lexington, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Julie and Devin Rowen; and her daughter, Robin Marie Rowen of Salem, Oregon. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Charles B. Rowen; and four siblings, Joseph Conte, Josephine LaChapelle, Anthony Conte, and Evelyn Newton. She was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Columbia, South Carolina, and a private service is planned.
