Obituary of Philip Mark Cody

A memorial service for Philip Mark Cody, age 60, of Lexington, SC will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 4720 Augusta Road Lexington. Mr. Cody passed away on August 13, 2016, with family by his side. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of Wilma S. Cody and the late Jack B. Cody. He attended University of South Carolina, was in the US Army and was a truck driver for many years. He loved his Gamecocks, fishing and was quite the handyman. He was a member of North Trenholm Road Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; a son, Jason Ginn of Columbia; a brother, Bill (Tanya), of West Columbia and 3 sisters, Gail Bateman (Andy) of Columbia, Debbie Sheppard (Ken) of Columbia and Brenda Fitzgerald (Tom) of Carrollton, Ga. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong best friends.
