Obituary of Cathy Moore Collins

Cathy Moore Collins passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Monday August 8th, 2016. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother "MeeMaw", and being very dedicated to her family. Born August 21, 1950, in Grove City, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Richard and Elsie Louise Leveritt Moore. Cathy was married to the late Jerry Marion Collins of Winnsboro, and they raised their family in the Cayce West Columbia area. Cathy was a 1968 graduate of Eau Claire High School. She attended the University Of South Carolina, and retired from Bearing Distributors, Inc. of Columbia. She was an avid bowler in the Columbia area for many years, and in 2007, she was inducted into the Midlands SC USBC Association Hall of Fame. Cathy was an active member of Grace Chapel Church of West Columbia. Cathy leaves behind sons, Kelvin "Kelly" Collins, Jason Moore Collins (Misty); daughters, Jennifer Collins Ditch, Jessica Collins Wahl (Terry), and Jordan MacKenzie Collins; grandchildren Clayton, Brittany, Amy, Mackenzie, Taylor, Mackayla, Joshua and Jacob; brothers, Rick (Joyce) Moore, Don (Sarah) Moore, Butch (Dee Dee) Moore; brothers-in-law Ronnie Collins of Lancaster, Van (Pam) Collins of Winnsboro, Brett (Beth) Collins of Ridgeway; sister-in-law, Susan Strausbaugh of Winnsboro; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 455 St. Andrews Rd, Columbia, SC 29210, or the Grace Chapel Church building fund, 663 Dixiana Rd, West Columbia, SC 29172 in memory of Cathy. There will be a visitation at 10 A.M, Saturday, August 13th, 2016 with a memorial service following at 11 A.M. at Grace Chapel Church, 663 Dixiana Road, West Columbia, SC 29172. Pastor Rusty Rabon will officiate.
