Obituary of Danny Charles Morris

Danny Charles Morris 52, of Lexington, husband of Jean Dufresne Morris, passed away June 6, 2016. He was born on March 16, 1964 in Witchita Falls,Texas to Melva D. McCullough Morris and the late Charles D. Morris. Danny was a 1983 graduate of Pelion High school. He then worked several jobs until he worked his dream job for the Department of Corrections where he retired medically in 2002. Since then he volunteered for the Red Cross and the Boy Scouts of America. If he was ever a witness to a distressed officer he always lent a helping hand. No one was ever left alone by him. In addition to his wife of seventeen years, he is survived by three sons, Dana, Casey (Jennifer) and Brent Cotnoir, three sisters, Donna Flowers, Yvonne Lucas ( "Pee Wee" James) and Dolores Hoover(Roger), two grandchildren. He helped raise his two nieces, Autumn and Ariane Kennedy. In addition to his father he is predeceased by a brother, Darrell Wayne Morris. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 1712 Mobile Ave, West Columbia SC 29170.
