Obituary of Houts Chaudoin Beaver

Houts Chaudoin Beaver, a resident of Lexington, South Carolina, died of congestive heart failure at the age of eighty-six on April 16, 2016. Born on August 27, 1929 in Statesville, North Carolina, his parents were Horace Cornelius Beaver and Mattie Houts Beaver. His siblings include Mary Rayle Markland, James Leonard Rayle, Bonnie Rayle Speaks, Fannie Beaver Mowry and Ellen Beaver Sinks. Houts married June Burgess, his high school sweetheart on August 6, 1949. They were happily married for sixty-six years. Houts attended Statesville High School and later graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a diploma in Church Music. Houts was a veteran who served in the Army. Later he held the position of Minister of Music for 7 years. In Atlanta, Georgia he was among the origi- nal group that founded A.L. Williams & Associates, which later became Primerica, now serving over six million clients in the financial industry. There he started as a sales representative and became a Regional Vice President. Houts discovered his gift and calling when he accepted a position with Primerica as an instructor preparing new agents.For 30 years he passionately taught his students who loved his entertaining teaching style. Houts is survived by June Beaver, his wife. Daughters: Deborah Beaver Stallings (Vaughn), Lori Beaver Bradley (Ed). Grand-children: Vaughn Mark Stallings, Matthew James Stallings, Daniel Edward Bradley (Jessica) and Sarah Elizabeth Bradley. Great-grand-children: Sunday Hazel Stallings. Siblings: Fannie Beaver Mowry and Ellen Beaver Sinks. Houts was loved by all who knew him, always smiling, singing or whistling. He never met a stranger! Houts had a servants heart, always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone. We rejoice that he is now at home in heaven with his beloved Lord and Savior and his family who preceded him. The family will receive friends from 7p.m. until 9p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, South Carolina 29072. Funeral service will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Christian Life Church located at 2700 Bush River Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29210. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington.
