Obituary of Betty G. Young

Graveside service for Betty G. Young, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 1, 2016, at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC. Chaplain Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will greet friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Woodridge Funeral Home, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC. Mrs. Young died Friday, January 29, 2016. Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Perley Z. and Edna Martin Galloway. Betty will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving sister, Linda M. Sullivan (J.C.) of West Columbia; a granddaughter, and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Francis "Buck" Young; a son, Jeffory Young; 2 brothers, Ervin and Billy Galloway; a sister, Shirley Henry.
