Obituary of Alfreda Peterson Johnson

LEXINGTON - Alfreda Peterson "Pete" Johnson, 87, of Lexington, SC joined God's Church Triumphant on August 15, 2015. She was lovingly surrounded by her family including her eight great-grandchildren. She was born in Zanesville, OH to the late Alfred C. and Mary T. Peterson. Pete lived a rich, full life enjoying her many loves: reading, playing bridge, spending time at the beach, visiting Walt Disney World, enjoying cruises, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and greeted everyone with the same zest that she lived her life. Her life was her unscripted bucket list. Pete is survived by her daughters Fran Bragan (Michael) of West Columbia, SC, and Susan Sandell Skaggs; grandchildren Heather Oana (Michael), Christopher Bragan (Ellie), Alison Edwards (Will), and Shauna Bragan; great-grandchildren London and Lane Oana, Sarah and Christopher Bragan, Liam and Arthur Edwards, and Eleanor and Charlie Bragan and by her brother Bill Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband "Woody" Wood, the love of her life, second husband Jim Barwick, third husband Floyd Johnson. and her brother John Peterson. Pete's service will be held Saturday, August 22, at 11 AM in the chapel of Presbyterian Communities, 700 DaVega Drive, Lexington, SC 29073 officiated by the Rev. Dr. Franklin Fant. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
