Obituary of James Allen Jetzke

James Allen Jetzke, Jr. of Irmo, SC was called to his heavenly home on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Richland Memorial Heart Center with his family at his side. James was born in St. Joseph, MI on 18th of August, 1968 to the late Mrs. Shirley Williamson and James Allen Jetzke, Sr. James was a dedicated, loving husband to his wife Becky, and "father" of 4 Labrador retrievers whom he loved dearly. He was a full-time firefighter for the City of Columbia and volunteered with Portage Township Fire Department in South Bend, Indiana. He truly loved the ability to help people in need. James was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Williamson, and his father James Allen Jetzke, Sr; as well as his grandparents and great-grandparents. James is survived by his wife, Becky; his sister Joanne Cantu (Oscar) and their two children Aimee and TJ as well as great-nephew Donnell; his Aunt Betty Best; uncles Butch Williamson and Raymond "Bud" Williamson; and several cousins; as well as his parents-in-law Benjamin and Helen Kitchen; brothers-in-law Joseph (Amy) Kitchen, John (Jess) Kitchen as well as 2 nieces and 3 nephews. A celebration of James' life will be held at 11:00 a.m. July 17, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church. The family will meet with visitors from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Diabetes Association, Northside Baptist Church and/or South Carolina Firefighters Association. Another celebration of James' life will be held in Michigan at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. There will be a two-hour visitation preceding this funeral service at Brown Funeral Home, Niles, Michigan with interment immediately following at Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles, Michigan.
