Obituary of Raymond Hardee

Gaston - Raymond Hardee, Sr. A memorial service for Raymond Hardee, Sr., 88, of Gaston, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Mt. Hebron Church, 1091 Red Bluff Road, Loris, South Carolina, 29569. Pastor Ross Altman will officiate. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with local arrangements. Raymond was born August 22, 1926 in Conway, a son of the late Henry and Eva Mae Allen Hardee. He was retired from route sales in the textile industry. He enjoyed fishing, and had a lifetime love of the sports of boxing, baseball and wrestling. He is survived by his loving children; sons, Ray Hardee, Jr., Paul Hardee (Val); daughters, Judy Hardee and Cathy Toussaint (Ray), all of Gaston; granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Hardee; great grandchildren, Kyler Hampton Hardee and Baya Grace Hardee. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Hardee of Darlington; sisters, Ann Wagner of Johnstown, PA, Virginia Hardee of Louisiana; and his "adopted family", Buddy and Debbie Floyd. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his former wife, Edna Martin Hardee; brother, Edward "Buddy" Hardee; sister, Willa Mae Beverly.
